A performance about the extraordinary life of an extraordinary woman. Alma Schindler-Mahler-Gropius-Werfel — daughter of a painter and lover of some of the most famous and gifted men of her time. Known as “the Muse of Vienna,” she was the inspiration for composer Gustav Mahler, painter Gustav Klimt, architect Walter Gropius, artist Oskar Kokoschka, and poet Franz Werfel. Directed by Dejan Projkovski and written by Sasho Dimoski, the production presents fragments from Alma’s life, told in retrospective. A woman-muse faces her own reckoning: to inspire or to create; to remain a faithful shadow or to shine with her own light; to stand beside the great creators while paying the price of love with her own talent. The story of Alma Mahler — the great widow of an era.
