Claudio, a decadent character, worn by loneliness and profound melancholy, lives in a bizarre space that mirrors his aesthetic and existential utopias.
Claudio suffers a heart attack, which leaves him in a state of confusion and disorientation. He collapses and silently watches the appearance of an imaginary figure. The figure recalls the Renaissance fresco painted on the walls of the room.
Claudio survives, but his disorientation intensifies. He delivers a melancholic monologue, a painful, poetic meditation on his own life and on death. The heart attack recurs. A servant appears and tells Claudio about twilight figures who have entered the garden. The servant takes pleasure in describing strange creatures.
